Distinguishing Mind and Awareness by Will Brown, Oct 2016

Distinguishing mind and awareness

Mind makes lists

       applies labels

           judges appearances

                 writes poems.

                 Awareness dances

           through a fourth moment

       where appearance emptiness becomes

bliss / mahasukha

But this is not a story of our clan

No luminosity knowing             abides

No trickster with

        tail on fire returns

                        from there…

But when

           the guru’s song and the

      roosters shout,

harmonizes with

        the fabric at your knee,

in time

to the second shadow dance of the ikebana

Our only          awareness

is the embracing

          fragrance

Of the 3 kayas
