Are you drawn to strengthening relationships within the local, regional and North American communities?

Are you at ease in both Spanish and English and living in rural México? Are you inspired to create an innovative mix of programs for practitioners on the Shambhala path?

If you answer “yes” to these questions then please consider applying to be the new Executive Director of Casa Werma Shambhala Meditation Center.

Casa Werma is a large estate with several buildings and beautiful gardens, secluded within a walled compound. It is located in the heart of Pátzcuaro, in the State of Michoacán, a 45-min drive south of Morelia (the nearest airport) or 5 hours northwest of México City. Pátzcuaro is a charming town with a mixed colonial and indigenous feel, whose residents are some of the friendliest and most welcoming in México. Its economy is based on municipal government, farming, food processing, arts and crafts, and domestic tourism. Casa Werma employs local staff who are responsible for maintaining the gardens and property, as well as housekeeping. On-site housing is provided, suitable for a couple.

The position commences December 2018.


  • loyal to the Shambhala vision and teachings
  • personal commitment to the Shambhala dharma having completed Warrior Assembly
  • proven leadership skills
  • experience in organizational and financial management, facilities operations and management, and guest services
  • fluent in English and comfortable in Spanish (oral and written)
