Meet the Directors

Mayela Padilla Manasjan and Paul Manasjan have been the Executive Directors of Casa Werma in Patzcuaro, Mexico since June 2019.

Mayela Padilla Manasjan believes in the importance of leading with 3 G’s: Gratitude, Gentleness, and Generosity. She has worked diligently throughout her 20 year career as an environmental scientist to protect the environment for the benefit of all current and future generations. She currently serves as a steering committee member for the Shambhala Touching the Earth Collective  and is the podcast host of Tiny Climate Challenge.

Paul Manasjan has over 30 years of public sector experience working in the fields of environmental health, resource management and sustainability, he is an internationally recognized leader and innovator in airport sustainability. Paul retired from his post as Director of Environmental Affairs for San Diego International Airport and as chair of Airport Council International–North America, Environmental Committee’s Sustainability Working Group.
